50/50 The Grand Theater Excellent (Again very close to Superior) If the first hour of the movie was as good as the last hour then no question this was a superior performance. Joseph-Gorden Levitt (although he has too many names) had an incredible scene towards the end of the movie, and Seth Rogan was great as well. The problem was the movie wasn't as funny as it was supposed to be. I know that sounds terrible when you're talking about a cancer movie, but it was billed as a Drama-Comedy. All the best jokes were given away in the previews and although that certainly didn't sink the ship or lessen the impact of the performances or the story, it did promise something that didn't deliver. In this case the preview ruined the movie because of promises it didn't keep. However if it wasn't for the preview I probably wouldn't have seen it anyway. So what do you do? Cool that it was based on a true story...I wonder if he lives! (he-he) (Watch the trailer above to find ...
The definitive source for Film evaluation. (Sounds impressive huh?)Keep in mind, this isn't a site for me to crap on movies I don't like. I don't go see movies I don't think I'll like (Unlike some internet reviewers). I love going to the movies, I'd go everyday if I could. So if you'd like to hear what I though about movies I've seen this is the place to be!
